Award: Rondol Management wins prestigious French business award
Rondol Technology is proud to announce that its Chairman and Managing Director Prof. Victoire de Margerie received the Montgolfier Award in Paris on March 29th.
The Societe D’Encouragement Pour L’Industrie Nationale SEIN (Society to Encourage the National Industry) was founded in 1801 with the goal to stimulate industrial development in France and confers the Mongolfier Award annually in seven catagories (Mechanics, Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture, Trade and Transport, Construction and Communication and Training.)
By increasing their recognition the award aims to foster the growth of forward looking concepts and companies like innovative engineering for the pharmaceutical industry, material research on corrosion for the nuclear industry or 360° infrared surveillance systems for the defense sector.
Fanny Balbaul-Celerier, winner of the chemistry-award and Head of the Corrosion Laboratory, Commissariat a l’Energie Atomique (CEA) pointed out that “research must be close to the industry and be acknowledged by the industry.”
Prof. de Margerie received the award as a recognition of her personal and professional accomplishments, unanimously, following a proposition made by the (Committee of Mechanical Arts). Particularly, the award was given for the decision to expand Rondol Technology’s activity to a new site in Eastern France
Mario Cence, Head of SEIN’s Mechanics Committee, stated: “Victoire de Margerie is an innovative person in creation of wealth and employment for the greater good and not for personal benefit . These are the values of ‘Societe d’Encouragement pour l’Industrie Nationale’.”
Olivier Mousson, President of SEIN: “Victoire de Margerie symbolizes the courage of a large company’s manager to invest and innovate in a field promised to show a big dovelopment. I hope that her next investments will be in France to energize the field of micro mechanics.”
