Launch: Easy Clean Barrel

In August 2010 Rondol Technology launched the innovative Easy Clean Barrel for Twin Screw Compounders. This provides open access to screws and process contact surfaces for rapid cleaning, configuration changes and unrestricted wipe down in cleanroom operation.

The Easy Clean Barrel system enables the user to remove screws and completely clean the barrel and screws in as little as 10 minutes.

This innovation in barrel design has been driven by industrial demand. Healthcare and advanced materials companies will also benefit from further reduced risk of contamination or carryover in changeovers in APIs or valuable material processing.
