Professor Gavin Andrews visits Rondol Group in Nancy

June 2025: Rondol Group and Institut Jean Lamour (IJL) were honored to welcome Professor Gavin Andrews, the Head of the School of Pharmacy at Queen's University Belfas (QUB).

QUB has always been first in installing each generation of Rondol micro extruder - from the horizontal 20/1 in 2011 to the horizontal 25/1, the horizontal 40/1 and the vertical 40/1 in 2021.

Since 2021, Rondol and QUB have developed, together with Pascal Boulet at IJL, a Proof of Concept to fight child malaria with better efficiency of treatment at lower cost. 

We are now happy to discuss future avenues of common research in the field of amorphous solid dispersions (ASD) and also components for healthcare wearables.

Thanks to Stephane Mangin, the day ended with an amazing visit of the Tube, a 70m long tunnel with 28 stations allowing to test nano materials under ultra high vacuum conditions.
